(some searchlight) most of us lose our breath in the best case scenario some gavel as waves is rolling faster than usual there is a man pounding his feet into the ground he is about to hear you drown if this was the last morning that same boy is sliding his hat falls off the clouds are getting nervous and my heart is chewing you if this was the last morning that same boy is sliding his hat falls off the clouds are getting nervous and my heart is chewing you if this was our last evening some boy was our sunset as you dig your toes deeper you are watching me drown
2.
stumbled upon a field of fingers hidden like prairie to occupied eyes caressing softly our middle-places (we were so safe in our middle-places) I couldn't tell if you were just playing you had a look-- you wanted to get hurt not a single movement was moving a new finger for each heartbeat (skin slid further) you wouldn't know I was hiding soap behind your ears for moments like these years so we close our eyes to discover just just how long "We" is (and for a second I thought I caught your spiteful eyes trying) but we were shoveling dirt into our faces
3.
don't drop my dear, dear words even if we're hiding if everyone is hiding stand beside me.. ..make my bed... oh, will you please..? ..chew your arm? ..speak words as rooms.. I'll stand in this one.. ..make my bed! I should call your thoughts pythons I should call your thoughts my thoughts when you caught me loose within my.. ..I caught me loose within my (soul) wet wet, and white wet wet, and white wet, wet and white and wet and white and wet and red (this is how our eyes taste)

Leaf 03:14
my love is a leaf like a big white big wet big warm blanket wet black blanket I sat in a room naked as the day I was born (for a while) and she said, "love.. love... love.... ..take your time!" my love is a leaf like a big white big wet big warm blanket wet black blanket

this dirty spot in my house leaking water, broken spout I felt a drip coming on this dirty spot, heavy dawn on the field I walk along in the field I sat with my song I've got to make this holy fist I need to know this holy drip water drips in morose code rustle the bags in my home feel the hair this dirty spot I am alone yet I'm not
6.
What We Are 03:10
I was so separated and you can't trust us alone otherwise we'll play dead I was so separated from the dirt and the worms and the birds and the sky and their dreams and disease and the air between your knees and the people on their trains and the plants and all your grains and the seasons we are (we are) (we are) (that could change you) (we are) every easy to forget idea (we are) every easy to forget idea (we are) every easy to forget idea that could change you
7.
the animal call my spine curls up when you are two shiny silver spoons my blood it flows it grows explodes oh, I'm blushing 'til I faint, I know it shows my voice flies out the door along with my clothes and shoes and so much more I shake until I'm sore I puff, puff, puff my breath just like the wolf, I'm blowing down your door anchored to the bed rocks grow in my gut hair grows on my chest my eyes.. ..they just won't close.. my slumber, I am told is sold to you oh, no no no no no no no no no no no! 'cause William, he was right! I would so much rather die tonight, than see you with your dog your fiddle legs, your happy face, this fucking place! oh I just drink it down
8.
I'm not afraid of your "bad" war and I'm afraid of your "good" war and I.... ..hide..... ....behind:

about

The Frederiksens Are Moving was written and recorded in 2008 by five songwriters-- close friends Jayson Nessi (19), Dylan Cale Jones (19), Peter Frederiksen (19), David Frederiksen (17) and Matthew Brown (19).

Smeared with humanity, artistically ambitious, and messy with grief, FAM is a critical and cathartic response to its young creator's toeing the line of both coming of age and coming to terms with their place in a world that they were not yet entirely certain of.
